About the Hayhoe Webb Partnership - Accountants
After many years working together, we realised there was a niche for specialised accounting services for the hospitality & tourism sector. Experience told us that traditional accountants weren’t a great fit for hotel and restaurant managers, pub landlords and B&B owners.
They didn’t really understand the challenges, the hectic schedule, the regulations and the special demands of running a thriving hospitality business.
Senior Fellow Member, Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT)
Paul trained and worked as a pub manager for a major brewery in London, and then ran a successful relief management business in the Yorkshire Dales. Together with his wife, Betty, he later built up a prosperous small family hotel in Scotland over 14 years. His hospitality industry qualifications include the Royal Environmental Health Institute's Intermediate Food Hygiene Certificate, Paul also holds qualifications in management consultancy and training.
Paul qualified as an accounting technician (AAT) in 2005 and as a Licensed Member in Practice, his work is regulated on an annual basis through the AAT.
Paul is a hospitality industry insider with hands-on experience of the challenges and joys of running a hospitality business. He's also very much a people person who pulls out all the stops to ensure his clients' success. See what Chris at Henrik’s bistro in Edinburgh has to say about Hayhoe Webb’s services in this Case Study.
Alan Webb BSc,
Fellow of the institute of chartered accountants (FCA)
Alan provides tax and technical support for the benefit of our clients through his accountancy practice, The Shepherd Partnership Ltd.
This long-established, well respected firm of Chartered Accountants, based in Skipton in the Yorkshire Dales, provides accounting and tax services to a wide range of local, family-run businesses.
Away from his desk, Alan has a passion for real ale, and was actively involved in campaigning with CAMRA in its early days in the 1970s. He believes that pubs are a vital part of our heritage, and is saddened by the way the major brewers and pubco’s have decimated the industry over the years. He believes that to survive and continue to contribute to the community, it is essential that the remaining pubs are well managed and focused on what customers want. The Hayhoe Webb Partnership seeks to support businesses who are willing to rise to the challenge.
